In this article, I am going to talk about a remedy using grape juice for relief from migraine and also briefly explain the science behind it. This article is a part of our series daily health hacks and remedies.
Migraine is a common health condition affecting around 5 % of the population. It is more common in females. Migraines are caused due to imbalance of serotonin as well as some other factors such as blood supply disturbances to the brain.
There are different types of migraine:
- Migraine With aura is usually preceded by warning signs such as flashing of lights.
- Migraine Without aura is not preceded by warning signs.
- Migraine Aura without headache is the one which there is flashing of lights but no headache.
Red Grape Juice is easy to make at home. Organic Grape Juices are readily available in the market. But it is better if you take some effort and make it yourself at home.
You will need around 250 g of red grapes with seeds.
Make a paste of the grapes using a mixer or by smashing them using a wooden ladle.
Cook the grapes in a pot for 10 minutes on medium heat. Strain the pot into a container or a drinking glass using a cloth.
Put the container in refrigerator and serve it chilled.
How It Works ?
The action of grape juice is due to presence of riboflavin(vitamin B2) in their seeds and presence of Vitamin B12 & Vitamin C in the pulp.
